Panauti and Namobuddha lies in eastern side of Kathamndu Valley. Panauti and Namobuddha monastery tour is historically and culturally significant places in Nepal. Generally the travelers starts by driving from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur and Banepa then turning towards left panauti valley along the rough tough road passing farmland through small villages and rice fields. You can observe around the Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, Namobuddha Chorten, a cave where Buddha sacrifices his body to the hungry tigress. Excursion around Namobuddha is absolutely mind-blowing and spellbound. Colorful prayer flags are hanging as a bundle roll around trees. The perfect viewpoint with stupa on the top offers massive Himalayas in the northern side. Mt. Manaslu, Langtang, Ganesh himal, Dorje Lakpa to Gaurishankar range mountains, a wide meadows and valley view makes the tour finest. The monastery is amazingly beautiful and decorative. It is spreading widely on slope hill with several buildings. This monastery is very popular for Buddhist school so that there are many young monks are hosteling.
