Annapurna is a very gorgeous Region in Nepal. Annapurna word is derived from the Sanskrit language, which means the region of adequate grains. The field and landscape surrounding this region are highly productive and fertile, so all kinds of useful crops, plants, and trees are available. The comfortable weather, convenient geographical situation, and favorable environmental conditions are sustainable and immortal natural gifts in Annapurna.

Annapurna region is naturally a dominant region inside Nepal. It has Massive Mountains including the world's highest Mountain such as Dhaulagiri I, and Mt. Annapurna I, sacred mountains, several Lakes, enormous glaciers, beautiful waterfalls, River-streams, den rhododendron forests, wild animals, birds and Scenic Valleys. Several ethnical groups inhabit this region with mutual harmony. They have different cultures, traditions, histories and languages however they have warm respect and hearty acceptance of each other. Their friendly culture and hospitality attract every visitor from time to time. The beauty and curiosity of the Annapurna are non-ending.

Yak Pastoral

Ghorepani Khopradanda ABC trek combines a little bit of, off-the-beaten path with great views and the best part of this trek is a very few people know about it. Also, it is the best choice for amazing mountain views, pastoral villages, rice fields layered on top of each other, and Mysterious glaciers.

The route follows a local trail that takes you down into the valley north of Ghorepani, before climbing up to Khopra Ridge beyond POONHILL viewpoint. Khopra Danda lies on the top of the ridge and provides very basic homestays or teahouses. This is a pastoral stoppage for the locals during Monsoon time. Khopra Danda offers beautiful Sunrise and Sunset at the giant mountains. A whole day-long hiking to Khayar Lake and returning back to the same teahouse will be an unbelievable achievement of Himalayan joys. The off-the-beaten trail passes via bamboo bushes, alpine forest, and scenic hills to Dobato. Regionally, the dominant viewpoint “Mulday” lies at Dobato. The trek goes down through the den rhododendron forest and meets the main trail at Kimrung Khola then follows the legendary trail up to ABC. ABC route is incredibly moderate- difficult and literally brings you face-to-face with the world’s tenth-highest peak. Annapurna I (8,091 m) holds several treasures for the mountain lover including tremendous glacier views and natural diversities.

The trek on the first day will take about 3 hours.

Wake up very early in the morning and hike one hour up to Poonhill through the rhododendron forest for a magnificent sunrise view over the mountains. Poonhill is one of the regionally dominant viewpoints, Mt. The lodge provides very basic facilities but the evening will be very warm in the Dining room due to the fire hitting.

Khopra Danda
Way to Khayar Lake

Excursion day to the holy Khayer Lake and return to the same hotel overnight. We make breakfast very early in the morning and start hiking to the holy Khayar Lake. Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and Jomsom Valley views make the day very pleasant. We take away some dry food or pack lunch for the day hike and return to the hotel around 3 PM then we have free time to read or relax.

Start your trek down to Chistibang and follow the bamboo bushes trail towards Baili Kharka. The trail is very interesting and not crowded. Don’t follow the upper route that is very scary and narrow while there is snow and ice. The lower trail is longer but very safe. During walking you will see amazing ranges of Himalayas and nature. Finally, you will arrive at Dobato for the overnight stop.

Pastoral
 Alpine Yaks Pastures

At Dobato there is the regional dominant viewpoint that offers a wide range of panoramic mountain views. This viewpoint is higher than Poonhill so the views from this point are spellbound. It takes just 15 minutes of hiking from the hotel. After the Sunrise descend to the hotel for breakfast. Follow a trail through the Prime rhododendron forest and descend down to Kimrung River for lunch. You meet the main trail at Kimrung and a lot of trekkers who are passing through, walking via the old village Chhomrong to Riverside, and climbing up to Sinuwadanda for the overnight stop.

We ascend through rhododendron, bamboo, and hemlock forests decorated with orchids and ferns. From Khuldi we go downhill on a steep and slippery stone stairway into the deep bamboo village. Then, our trail crosses tributary rivers on narrow bridges, several waterfalls and a small settlement Dovan. We ascend on a stony trail through the forest and Himalayan lodge then to a steep hike to the Hinku cave. The Hinku cave used to pasture shelter in former times. Cross the glacier stream ahead of Cave and follow rocky gentle climbing until you arrive at Deurali. Overnight at a local lodge

ABC
Mt. Annapurna (I) 8091 Meters & glaciers

Ahead of Deurali, there are avalanche areas. During winter or heavy snowing, time is dangerous to cross through there so trekkers must cross the stream and escape to the other side that ascend through birch and bamboo forest. We continue to move uphill, pass over a moraine and go downhill to a stream. Then, short ascends lead us to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m). We keep ascending uphill on the moraines of South Annapurna Glacier until we reach Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). There is a marvelous view of the south face of Annapurna rising above the sanctuary to the northwest. After lunch, we will move towards a player-flag-wrapped viewpoint to enjoy the breathtaking view of the mountains of the Annapurna region along with the surrounding glacier. Overnight at a lodge

Wake up very early in the morning for a sunrise view over the Massive Mountains. The sunrise will make the whole valley golden outline. See the massive icefall and glacier and wide contour of the Annapurna Himalayas. Visit some monuments of mountaineers who lost their lives during the expedition. Start your returning trek via the same trail you scaled up through Deurali, Himalaya, and Dovan to Bamboo. Overnight at lodge

Trek down
