The massive Mt. Holy Machhapuchhre, Mt. Annapurna (I), II, III, IV, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Lamjung Himal, and Mt. Manaslu range are perfectly visible from this hike. A short breathtaking trekking is very impressive for the children and retired people. This short trek offers panoramic mountain views, provides fully natural outfitter experiences, and cultures Nepalese way of life. It is possible to trek all the year through, we won't recommend it during Monsoon because of leeches.

Itinerary

Private vehicle drive to Kande takes about an hour then start hiking for some hours through lush forest to the Australian camp for overnight. Locally they called it Bhaisikharka which means Buffalo pasturelands. Before tourism local people used to bring their cattle here for pasture during the Monsoon season because it is the perfect and wide place with a lot of forests. While Nepal became slowly popular for Mountaineering, a source of anthropology and flora and fauna research, the birthplace of Buddha and scenic landscapes with cultural traditions. At the same time, Australian travelers first visited this beautiful scenic place which is not so far from the civilizations neither riskier nor adventure but mysteriously beautiful. This trek provides the most things for what the travelers are looking to see and experience.

Almost 40 years ago by now, the Australians made the routine place for their holidays once a year in this place. By then there were not any tea houses, the whole field was pastures and barren. Around mid-September, villagers moved away their cattle by the same time the autumn season began, and then it used to be camping for Australian travelers. The place became the Hub of Australians for mini trekking, hiking, and Christmas and New Year celebrations. So then the Bhaisikharka got a new nickname with Australian Camp.

Wake up very early in the morning and go to the viewpoint. It offers mind-blowing views of Mt. Annapurna I, Mt. Annapurna South, Mt. Hiunchuli, Mt. Gangapurna, Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Annapurna II, III, Mt. Lamjung, Mt. Manaslu and a wide picturesque views of beautiful landscape with Pokhara valley. The amazing green forest covering hillocks and scattered villages with terraced field views make your attendance a glorious opportunity of a lifetime in this heavenly beautiful place.

Dhampush

Return to the lodge and enjoy your breakfast with panoramic views. After breakfast descend through the beautiful forest along the staircase meditational path to Dhampush village. This village is known as the Queen of Gurung ethnic group which has a very harmonious culture and traditions. Stop here for your Noon break, visit around the villages and see the local lifestyle. Nowadays, vehicle roads are widely spread in this village which has brought facilities also destroyed the ancient traditions and paths tremendously. However, the people of this village are still trying to preserve their ancient culture, traditions and way of lifestyle alive. After lunch; if you want then can descend via staircase steps to Phedi or Jeep drive to Pokhara from Dhampus. You will arrive at Pokhara by evening and take your free time to explore or relax at Pokhara.
