Langtang Ruby Valley Trekking

Langtang Ruby Valley trekking is the least explored trekking destination in Nepal. It begins from glacier-formed alpine highlands to the off-the-beaten-path region of Ganesh Himal. The trek goes first to explore a wide range of sky-touching mountain panoramas, yak pastoral landscapes, Glacier moraine, and to the mind-blowing viewpoint Tserku Ri at 5,030m in Langtang valley, then Primitive Tamang heritage in the least explored Ruby valley. The trail to Ruby Valley has all kinds of landscape and walking conditions, as it includes almost flatlands, terraced farms, gradual and steep climbs, and beautiful scenery of lush green forest and high snow-capped mountains. This unexplored trekking trail provides you with the opportunity to explore some very remote villages of Nepal, not influenced by tourists. Since this is a very new trekking trail in Nepal, lodges and guesthouses have not been developed yet in this area, so trekkers have to stay at a homestay. Thus, visitors will have interactive relations with locals, tourists can easily experience the way of rural life, and can have a primitive taste of local food, a culture that has not changed in hundreds of years.
Best Time to Visit Langtang and Ruby Valley
Spring (March-May): This is an excellent time with pleasant temperatures, blooming rhododendrons, and clear skies, offering great views.
Autumn (September-November): Widely considered the best time due to stable weather, clear skies, crisp mountain views, and comfortable temperatures.
Monsoon (June-August): Heavy rainfall, making trails difficult, views obstructed with thick clouds, and increasing the risk of leeches. The trail is slippery, muddy, and roads and trails may be obstructed by landslides and flooding rivers.
Winter (December-February): It is possible to trek, but you need a bit warmer gear for the colder temperatures and potential snowfall.
Permits:
Langtang National Park Entry Permit: Required for trekking within the Langtang National Park.
TIMS Card (Trekkers' Information Management System Card): Essential for all trekkers in Nepal.

A little earlier breakfast is better for today. Take your packed lunch and enough water for your final and important excursion to Tserku Ri 5030 m. Climbing up will be challenging; however, the views from the top will be unforgettable.

The trek passes through several villages today, and descends through dense forest to Chalis gaun, where the minority ethnic groups such as Tamang and Gurung communities are highly dense around this area. The terraced agricultural fields, lush forests, and typical villages are eye attractions for today. A lot of ascents and descents finally take you to the picturesque primitive village of Borang.
