Langtang

Langtang Valley via holy Gosaikund Lake and Lauribinala pass to Helambu Valley trekking is one of the loveliest trekking routes. Langtang – Gosaikunda trek offers a good alternative away from popular destinations such as Everest, Manaslu, and Annapurna Circuits. Surrounded by lesser-known viewpoints, and hilly tops in splendid alpine surroundings, the region has remained largely pristine. Langtang Glacial Valley passing through Lama Hotel and Ghoda Tabela, Langtang was destroyed village by an earthquake in 2015 on our way to Kyanjin Gompa, the last settlement in Langtang Valley. After a few days of wonderful trekking around Langtang Valley, we step into the sacred holy Lake of Gosainkunda side. Gosaikund is a popular Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site. There are many different lakes with different names dedicated to Lord Shiva. The pass is mostly known as Gosaikund Pass but on the map, you can find Laurebina Pass (4,600 m), the highest point on the trek. After passing the col the trail enters into different valleys with different landscapes, cultures, traditions and natural diversities are also very different. The lush green forests, up and down the trail through attractive villages, terraced fields, and passing very beautiful monasteries, Chortens, hills, and viewpoints.

Itinerary

After your breakfast drive starts to Shyabrubesi, which may take about 6/7 hours, while driving you will see many different landscapes, cultures, and traditions and will experience the real Himalayan lifestyle closely.

Driving

After morning breakfast follows the Langtang river bank with a spectacular view of the Jungle, river, and local culture. Lunch in Bamboo on the way you also see the wild bee hive on the other side of the River.

Following the gradual way up from the pine forest, oak, rhododendron, and many other floras with Shy Mountain Langtang two, in front and tremendously beautiful natural view around you make the day important.

Having a panoramic view of Mt. Langtang and other natural diversities makes your day more interesting and exciting. After a nice breakfast, the way starts easy uphill to Kyangjing Gomba by following the Langtang Valley.  You arrive in Kyanjing by lunch and take a noontime excursion around the cheese factory or glacier moraine.

Langtang

A little earlier breakfast is better for today. Take your packed lunch and enough water for your final and important excursion to Tserku ri 5030mtr. Climbing up will be challenging however the views from the top will be lifetime unforgettable.

Return down along the same way that we came through.

Passing an easy trail through the beautiful Oak forest, beach, rhododendron, paper plant, and bamboo, etc. Then the uphill starts for 2 hours to Tamang Ethnic village.

Often trail goes steep up to Phoprang Danda, But the view of Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Manaslu range make your climbing very comfortable. Making a tea break at Phoprang Danda with its massive surrounding views will be beneficial. Take an easy way through the forest and get to a beautiful village with an attractive monastery and cheese factory.

Lake

The trail from Sing Gomba to Gosaikund is quite enjoyable. Passing through the alpine forest, Cholangpati via the serene contour ridge Lauri Bina la to holy Gosaikund. Make an excursion around the viewpoint and Lakeside and overnight at the local lodge.

You should go slowly up to the pass by the side of different holy lakes. It is not a demanding trail however you feel the challenge of the Himalayas. After the pass, the trail descends to Phedi. From there you must walk carefully because the path is narrow and scary long zigzag until you arrive at Gopte for overnight.

Climbing up to Tharepati may take about 2 and a half hours and probably the best idea to have lunch with fantastic views of Helambu Valley. You can see the Siha Panma over eight thousand mountains of Tibet from here. And slowly scale down via a beautiful ridgeway to Mangen Goth overnight.

Tharepati

Walking down to the beautiful Helmu village like Kutumsang and terraced fields to a widely spreading Tamang village. Overnight at hotel

The trail mostly walks up and down through terraced fields, and cultures of Tamang villages until you arrive at Chisopani. Today the trek will be more about cultures rather than nature however the natural views are also incredible. Overnight near the Shivapuri national park.

Mangengoth

We start our trekking through the den forest of Shivapuri national park to Mulkharka Tamang village. The trail descends via several stone staircases along Mulkharka to Sundarijal. We will make a lunch break near the Sundarijal post and descend about an hour to the bus park to get the drive to Kathmandu. It takes approximately 2 hours to Kathmandu from Sundarijal. Overnight at hotel
