Itinerary

We start driving by jeep from Pokhara to Nayapul (on the way to Baglun) over the rough tough hilly road for about 1 hour. We get out of the jeep at Nayapul and start the first day walking along the Mohare trekking trail, descend to the Modi Khola River, and cross over on the other side. We walk through beautiful local villages like  Deupur, Kalyani, Maidan, Jogithum, and Harmar and gradually steep up to the Purna Gaun village. The route is still primitive in design so it offers community homestay and some basic hotels for overnight.

Trekking Trail to Lespar Village is very enjoyable with diverse nature and deep green forest, we pass a beautiful viewpoint and some rural villages Langdi, Dandakharka, and Chwai. The trek provides the deep joys of enormous excellent experiences of remote nature and lifestyle. The zig-zag up-and-down trail finally will take you to your destination Lespar village. Overnight is a simple home stay.

The trek goes mostly through the green forest, and incline hills with wonderful views. Terraced farming fields, water stream, and beautiful widely spreading landscape make your trekking supper one. Nangi is a famous rural Magar and Poon ethnic’s village. They have a very wonderful culture and traditions. A Nepalese scientist, winner of the MAGSAYSAY award 2007 considered as Nobel prize of Asia Mr. Mahabir Poon was born in this village. Because of his contribution, the Nangi village is easily posing wireless internet connection service with another world.

Nangi village has another very unique attractive viewpoint Mohare danda. From this viewpoint, you will enjoy a wide range of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayas.

Today mostly we hike in the green forest with splendid wide views of regional dominating mountains. The trek passes through the oldest villages, rivers, pasture fields, and farming fields. We take a break at Phulbari village overnight because of the good homestay. Local people built a public homestay at Mohare danda too but it is not proper like in Phulbari village.

We visit very early in the morning up to Mohare danda for spellbound 360 degrees views with Sunrise. Mohare Danda is recently very famous for trekkers, in the former time it was just a place for yak pasture. Mohare Danda is the real POON Hill that used to be called before invented in Ghorepani. Descend to the hotel for breakfast and start you’re trekking along the beautiful ridged trail through the Rhododendron forest, blue pine trees, fir trees, and bamboo bushes to the famous Poon Hill viewpoint and descend over stone staircases to Ghorepani for overnight.

Rrododendron

We recommend you wake up very early in the morning for Poon Hill Sunrise views. Start very early walking with your flashlight, drinking water, and some pieces bars. It may take 45 minutes from Ghorepani to Poon Hill for another beautiful paradise view. You will find panoramic views across the Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna to Manaslu ranges. Deep gorges views with wide landscapes and horizontal meadows are visible. Get down to the hotel for breakfast and start your hike along the ridged way with fantastic views of Deurali. Leave the classic trail at Deurali and follow a hidden path hike through a deep Himalayan forest trail up to the hill. It has steep climbing in some parts of the trail until you get to the barren open pastures field. The trail gradually inclines along the barren grassy field and finally reaches a huge yak pasture shelter then descend a while to Dobato for overnight.

It offers another chance at MULDAY viewpoint. It takes approx. 20 minutes hiking from Dobato, you can see better views from Mulday rather than the others. Descend to the hotel for breakfast and start walking down to Kimrong Khola through the deep Himalayan rhododendron forest, terraced field, and Gurung village. After your arrival at Jhinu and some rest take some changing clothes and get away to a natural hot spring for an enjoyable bath.

Cross the long suspension bridge below Jhinuwa and follow the Modi River bank trail through the greenery forest. Passing Nayapul village, cross the bridge to Himal Pani Settlement. The trail is quite enjoyable with whisperings of river sounds, waterfalls, and enjoyable jungle temperature.  Gradually climb up to a famous old Gurung village along staircases.  Comparatively, the trail from Landruk village to Forest camp would be demanding while it often climbs, deep greenery forest and narrow passes at some point.

The trek climbs genteelly via the attractive and panoramic ridge. The day will be so motivated and profitable by the surrounding mountains and natural views. The mountains come closer like face-to-face standing as well as the lower landscape with beautiful alpine forests making the walk heavenly and joyful.

Today we hike very early in the morning with a flashlight for the sunrise view from Mardi Himal base camp 4500m, Mardi Himal basecamp is very popular for the best views of Mt Mardi, Annapurna I, Annapurna south, ABC, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Himchuli, Dompeak, Tenpeak, Barahashikhar, Fishtail as well as Himalayan pastures. Small huts are everywhere in the pastureland, they offer hot tea, coffee, and Nepalese-style breakfast too. It takes around 3 hours of up-and-down hiking from the high camp. Descend to the hotel for lunch and walk down another magnificent place Badaldanda for overnight.

Breakfast in the hotel yard with panoramic views and start returning down along ridged way via Low camp and Forest camp. The trail goes through a heavy rhododendron forest, hiking in this part will be more like mediational. Many new tea houses are serving warm drinks and food along the way. You will meet a legendary ABC trekking trail at Pritam Deurali and follow the same way downtown to Pothana village and hike to the Australian camp overnight.
