Itinerary

After the breakfast at hotel, we start driving a jeep to Banthanti. Then start walking for about 2 hours through the rhododendron forested trail to Ghorepani (2800mtr). Overnight at good lodge.

We must start climbing to Pun Hill the dominating viewpoint early in the morning around 4:45 AM for the beautiful Sunrise. You need to have a flashlight for walking in the dark, it takes about 45 minutes to be at the viewpoint. Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna I, and Mt Manaslu above 8000 mtr mountains are visible including holy Fishtail, Gurja, Thapa Peak, Tilicho Peak, Nilgiri Peak, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal and Ganesh Himal ranges. The mind-blowing panoramic view of the beautiful landscape with Kaligandaki Valley and Pokhara Valley makes the hike very beneficial. Descend to the hotel for breakfast and follow the trail along the hilly ridge with a full package of beautiful scenic trail through the alpine rhododendron forest to Deurali, Banthanti & finally rhododendron-surrounded hamlet Tadapani for overnight.

The Ghandruk trails descend steeply from Tadapani, through den rhododendron forests, a short steep descent among rocks leads to a stream crossing, and then gentle continuous descent. Ghadruk is the second huge Gurung ethnic dominant village in Nepal. The Gurung Museum is a well-recommended site to visit except for its modern bakery and coffee bars. There are neatly terraced fields situated both above and below the town. It is wonderfully easy to get lost in the network of narrow alleyways while trying to trek through the village.

After breakfast, take a Jeep drive from Ghandruk to Pokhara. Driving will cross several picturesque landscapes and terraced fields until you arrive at Pokhara. Check-in at the hotel and free day in Pokhara city.
