Duration: Annapurna circuit trekking takes a minimum of a week to a month-long trek. A shorter trek ends at Muktinath and drives out by jeep or trek to Jomsom bazaar and fly out to Pokhara. Longer trek recommends driving a bus from Kagbeni to the hot spring (Tatopani) and via the splendid viewpoint of Poonhill.

Permits: You need Annapurna conservation area project permits and a TIMS permit including trekking insurance for your trekking crews.

Transportation: Overland Vehicle from KTM to Beshisahar- Jagat- Chame, domestic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara or overland vehicle from Muktinath/ Kagbeni to Tatopani, jeep from Banthati/ Ghandruk to PKR, Flight or buses from PKR to KTM.

Walking Trails: In some parts, trekkers must walk on the road but alternative walking trails are adequately available everywhere. There is no road connection from Manang to Muktinath only an ancient style of walking trail. Steel poles are standing by the side of the trail from Thorong Phedi- Thorongla Pass- to Muktinath. If there is heavy snow then the trail can’t be seen so trekkers must follow poles for not getting lost in the passes.

Trek hours per day: The itinerary is always eligible, every day your trek starts after your breakfast. Take your own speed and enjoy your walking and views. Normally walking hours will be 4-8 hours a day but the ultimate mission completion of the Thorongla pass 5,416mtr will take about 11 hours.

Landscape & temperature: There are amazing landscapes on this trek, it is a very comfortable temperature and greenery region on lower land and a very dry, windy, and cold arid landscape on higher land. The big and sky-touching mountains stand from every side of the valley. The wide arid Tibetan gleaming plateau, glacier, moraine trail, beautiful valleys, and spectacular viewpoints. The arid landscape begins from Manang to Mustang (Manang- Lete Mustang). This region is known as a rain shadow area because the region is behind the mountains. It is warm during the day and will be cold at night, The Maximum cold night will be at Thorong Phedi but depends upon the Season.

Amazing things to see: You will see the world’s highest mountain Mt. Manaslu, Mt Annapurna I, Mt. Dhaulagiri I, and several mountains. The world’s highest Lake Tilicho, Holistic Muktinath temple, the Pristine Mustang gate Kagbeni village, hundred years old Monasteries, amazing natural hot spring (Tatopani) and splendid views from Poon hill. If you are flying out from Jomsom then the natural hot spring and the view from Poon hill will be escaped.

Accommodations and Food: Everywhere we can find very neat and clean local lodges and hotels with the best food items. We can select the food according to our choices on the Menu. They provide attached bathrooms with hot showers and comfortable beds. They have a very wide clean and warm dining room.

Maximum altitude: During the trekking or day hiking you may reach up to 5,500mtr and return to your hotel at a lower altitude for overnight. Your highest overnight will be Thorong Phedi at 4,400 meters. and then the Thorong La pass at 5,416 meters.

Altitude Sickness: The Mountain has its own discipline, you cannot turn the character of mountains into your character. If you avoid the mountain’s character then there will be a big risk. Follow the theory of go higher and sleep at lower. So go slower, drink enough water, take enough acclimatization, and supply enough energy. If you have some symptoms of altitude stop going higher take a rest or descend to a lower altitude.

Annapurna Circuit Trekking

Trekking in the classic Annapurna circuit is a very popular destination across the whole world. It is one of the major listing trekking regions for normal to highlander trekkers and it is a dream plan for most of the world’s outdoor sports, famous climbers, travelers, or adventurers. The trek starts at a very comfortable temperature and goes gradually up to the Himalayas. Of course, the legendary trekking trail has been destroyed by road extension however the walking path is created by the side or alternatively. In the former time, Annapurna Circuit trekking needed month-long holidays but the road development made it shorter now. So that trekkers can make the Annapurna circuit trekking minimum in a week and can extend according to their own time schedule.

Tilicho Lake

Trekkers must drive from Kathmandu to Besishahar or nearby places by bus or private vehicle and sift into a local jeep service. Buses, cars, or taxis can’t drive on that road except four-wheel drive, local jeeps are providing daily driving from Besisahar to Manang. We don’t recommend trekkers directly drive to Manang due to altitude problems. If you are taking a private four-wheel drive from KTM then just drive up to Jagat or Maximum to Chame (headquarters of Manang District) then start trekking. Going directly to the very high altitudes is a big risk of altitude sickness. If someone is well-acclimatized at high altitudes then can be driven directly to Manang at 3500 meters above Sea level otherwise it is not recommended.
